A Sweet Local Partnership
Did you know Cordelia’s carries over 200 local and regional products?! Since 1998, these local partnerships have become a central part of our store’s mission. We’re grateful for the opportunities they grant us to connect with our city and better serve our neighbors by giving them so many local options all in one place!
This year we began looking for established Memphis businesses whose product offerings would complement our existing ones, as well as provide mutually sustainable opportunities to grow our brands together.
A Shared Vision
Muddy’s Bake Shop founder, Kat Gordon was the first operator I reached out to. Her commitment to quality and customer experience is one of a kind. Her proven ability to adapt in ways that help her team and business thrive made me eager to reach out in the hopes that she would be willing to wholesale her amazing selection of goodies in our store. I was SO tickled when she said yes! It was an honor knowing that she trusted us enough to let us sell her products. I spent much of my twenties and thirties at Muddy’s with a London Fog, Prozac cupcake and a notepad. I have admired the way that Kat managed to create multiple places where her staff, food and furniture made me feel so happy inside. In fact, it was at the old Cooper-Young location that I weighed out the pros and cons of taking the leap to join the team at Cordelia’s after spending 16 years at Whole Foods Market. I’m so glad I did, because it put me in the position that I am today, where I can make decisions that may have a lasting positive impact in our local economy. I could not be more excited to see where this partnership takes us in the future!
Beginning July 20th, you will find a selection of Muddy’s offerings. Cream pies, pudding cups, peanut butter bars, rice crispy treats and more will be in our café. Check our frozen section for take and bake quiches, apple pies and cookie dough. You can even buy their famous butter pie crust to take home and make your own delicious creations!
